Well, Mt Baldy (North) is a slog of scrambles in one long section. However, that entire section can be bypassed if you know how to read a map and read a trail. The top of Baldy is also a scramble and narrow ridges to get to the summit. What is nice is one could hike up to there and be 200m distance short of summit, but not much diminished views.
