I am thinking of making the leap and get a Klose Smoker after about 15 years with a cheap offset. I see that one of the options is a 1/2" thick firebox. It is a Klose smoker. It weighs 700+ pounds. I left the front of the slab uncovered so I can roll it out to use it. It is only enclosed in the back to keep the rain and snow off of it. I smoke on a Klose fairly regularly. It has a vertical and horizontal smoker. I do not like having the vertical smoker as I think it messes with the draft too much and I never use it.
